What is ADSL Broadband?

ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) uses the analogue copper wire phone line to provide the internet connectivity. ADSL broadband comes with a microfilter that splits out the frequencies used for your voice telephone calls and internet connection. 

Because it uses an analogue phone line connection to provide the service, it is widely available throughout the UK.

ADSL is the only option available if Fibre Broadband is not available at your location and the costs for EFM or Fibre Ethernet are beyond your budget.

A standard ADSL router and a microfilter are required for the service to work. This service is usually not recommended for data and cloud telephony as the upload speeds can be very slow compared to other products available.
